Research Assistant for Chronic Poverty Research Network

The Chronic Poverty Advisory Network is recruiting 3 research assistants to assist with a systematic review, which will look at the impact and effectiveness of anti-discrimination measures in improving the lives of the poorest people.

The research assistant will work closely with a small team of researchers and receive training in systematic review search and documentation methodologies.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Searching for literature in a range of databases following a set protocol
  • Maintenance of research notes
  • Use of the EPPI Reviewer database to manage and code the literature found
  • Attending and inputting to regular team meetings

This is an excellent opportunity for a current masters student or masters graduate with excellent attention to detail, ability to work to tight deadlines and good teamwork skills. Ideally you will have experience of using databases and conducting research as well as a strong interest in international development and poverty reduction policy. 

The role will require a commitment of at least three days a week in August and September 2015 paid at upto £120 a day.
